The beauty of working with glass is the way glass captures light. You immediately get a summer feeling when the sun shines on a sculpture made of clear and colored glass. The cool, hard material with warm colours and organic shapes adds tension to the work.
Rineke makes her work mainly by fusing and forming elements with glass fusion. But she also sometimes experiments with bonding and coloring glass.
