Previous Wind fans have beutiful singular shapes. But Rineke is expanding her experiments on the idea of glass wind fans. In Mitosis a new idea has been captured. Two glass wind fans are yet connected but seem to split apart linke in cell division or mitosis. At the top the division is established already. But at the bottom of the sculpture the two parts are still firmly entwined. The movement that has been captured in this sturdy piece of glaas is beautiful!
