Rineke used to have a kaleidoscope. A kind of tube with prisms in it and colored elements. When you looked through it and rotated it, the most fantastic color effects were created. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds knows ‘a girl with kaleidoscope eyes’. You can completely lose yourself in it, just like in this work by Rineke. Two stacked triangles, each with an ‘eye’ that you can see through. The colors will never cease to amaze you.
