If you want to make beautiful original things, you have to experiment. Rineke enjoys seeing how far she can go with glass! Not all experiments succeed. She tried to make a square tower of strips of orange and clear glass. The oven is heated so high that the glass becomes pliable and sticky, but not liquid. In this experiment, the oven was clearly set a little too high. The tower partly fell over and the fallen part was so tense that it broke off. Learned something again! Perhaps another attempt will follow later.
