Exhibition Brabant Expressionism

From January 11 to March 1, 2026, KuBra-Art Gallery in Rosmalen presents the exhibition Brabant Expressionism. In this impressive exhibition, Brabant artists show their work, in which emotions and personal experiences are central and there is a conscious departure from conventional formal and visual language.

The festive opening, combined with the New Year’s reception, will take place on Sunday 11 January from 14:00 to 16:00. During this afternoon, the participating artists will give an introduction to their work. Visitors are welcomed with a snack and a drink, can talk to the artists and enjoy live music. Member of BRÛT’o collective, pianist Ryan I_T_V, will be inspired by the environment and will perform a musical improvisation.

Participating in the exhibition are: Johannes van den Oetelaar (Schijndel), Jofke van Loon (Tilburg), Pierre van Dijk (‘s-Hertogenbosch), Rineke Nijssen (Gemert), Maurice van Ballegooi (Standdaarbuiten) and the Tilburg artists’ collective Art-Brût-Collective, consisting of Bastièn-Les Yeux, Le Shezar, RAW/SEN and Ryan I_T_V_.
Their work is characterized by expressive, unconventional images, the use of bright, unnatural colors and powerful distortions, free from artistic laws.

Visitors are invited to discover the intimate treasures of the Brabant expressionist art scene, to be amazed and to enter into a conversation with the makers. Every Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m., one of the artists is present in the gallery.
