Ode to Ole
Description
At the end of the 70s, the Danish artist Ole Korzau started making his beautiful silk screen prints in super simple style. He called it the ‘Danske motiver’. Some of them are still for sale in his webshop. Rineke fell head over heels for his work. The poster with two cows hung in the living room for years and the postcards were collected.
Unfortunately, his work with a telephone pole can no longer be found, but it was beautiful. In 1981, Rineke painted the toilet in her home all around in the motif of that work, including green PVC flooring and a light blue painted ceiling.
With ‘Ode to Ole’, Rineke pays tribute to Ole Korzau, but in her own style, with strips of glass.
