What a fantastic material glass is! As transparent as the sky to let light through, or colored to filter the light. In this work Gradient you can see how that works. In each of Gradients stack of pixels, a colored element is replaced by a clear element. The beautiful gradient of color is the result, from deep golden colored to completely clear. The side of the work reveals the structure. On the last photo in the gallery below you can see how Rineke will sign her work with her ‘crazy face’ from now on. A nice new method that she developed during the move to the new location.
